1. Be a Good Listener First

  • Most humour comes from picking up little things others say and adding a twist.
  • If you’re only waiting to talk, you’ll miss those opportunities.
  • Example: If a friend says, “I studied all night,” you can reply, “Yeah, the book must be traumatised now.”


2. Learn Light Teasing (Without Crossing the Line)

  • Playful roasting is core to friendly banter.
  • Keep it harmless, avoid sensitive topics (appearance, family, failures).
  • Stick to situations & habits, not personal wounds.
  • Example: If a friend is always late — “Bro, IST stands for Indian Standard Tera-time, right?”


3. Observe & Exaggerate

  • Take something ordinary and stretch it for humour.
  • Example: If someone eats fast — “Are you eating food or uploading it to a cloud server?”


4. Don’t Force Jokes

  • The biggest mistake is trying too hard.
