Sudhanshu hails from Bihar and currently stays in Ganganagar, Rajasthan. Growing up as the son of a retired Army personnel, he was surrounded by stories, discipline, and values of the Armed Forces from an early age. Joining the forces wasn’t a sudden ambition—it was a childhood dream shaped by daily exposure. After completing his schooling in Ganganagar, Sudhanshu pursued B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering from Chandigarh University. Alongside academics, he kept preparing for the uniform he had dreamt of wearing since childhood.

“SSB doesn’t reject effort. It rejects confusion.”
Six NDA Attempts and the First Reality Check
Sudhanshu appeared six times for NDA, showing sheer persistence. His first SSB opportunity finally came after graduation through CDS IMA. He reached the conference stage but couldn’t make it through.
The experience left him with more questions than answers.
Psychological tests became his biggest challenge. He wasn’t sure:
Despite giving AFCAT attempts, the same lack of clarity followed him. He felt he was working hard—but without direction.
The Turning Point: Choosing Mentorship Over Guesswork
It was during this phase that a friend suggested seeking mentorship from Road to Recommendation (R2R). When Sudhanshu cleared the CDS 1 2025 written exam, he immediately joined R2R. What followed wasn’t a sudden change—but a structured transformation. Slowly, he noticed:
When Practice Meets the Actual SSB
At his Naval Academy SSB, something remarkable happened—11 out of 11 pictures came from the same sets he had practised during R2R sessions. But more than familiarity, it was the personality he had built during preparation that helped him perform freely and honestly. Sudhanshu went on to secure AIR 29 in Naval Academy (CDS 1 2025) from 33 SSB Bhopal. This was his fourth conference, and the one that changed everything.
Cracking Psych: The Real Game-Changer
Psych had always been Sudhanshu’s weakest area—not because he lacked content, but because he lacked correct guidance. He believed his stories were good, but R2R helped him understand what assessors are actually looking for and how to present his true self effectively. Sometimes, the difference between rejection and recommendation isn’t effort—it’s clarity.
Sudhanshu’s Message to Aspirants
“Trust your mentors. Believe in them. Aur bahut mehnat kariye—because hard work can beat talent any day.” He strongly believes that self-belief, expert guidance, and giving every attempt with full confidence can take an aspirant far. According to him, once you stop guessing and start understanding SSB, the process becomes logical and achievable. For Sudhanshu, R2R wasn’t about learning something new—it was about learning the right way. And sometimes, that’s all an aspirant needs to finally make it through.
